(Episode #43)

OAD: November 24, 1952 - CBS Television Network

FILMED: Friday, August 15, 1952 - General Service Studios

PREMISE: Ricky tricks Lucy into thinking she has won an apartment full of new furniture, so she sells their old things to a used furniture store and uses the money to buy wallpaper. She can't afford to hire professionals to do the decorating, so she and Ethel attempt to hang the wallpaper themselves. The results are typically Lucy!

GUEST CAST: Hans Conreid (Dan Jenkins); Margie Liszt and Florence Halop (women on phone)

Even though Lucy's pregnancy was not yet a part of the weekly storyline, Ms. Ball was already "expecting" when this program was filmed -- note her loose-fitting blouse and coveralls.

In real life, Dan Jenkins was the name of a journalist, a friend of the Arnazes who for many years penned a column for TV GUIDE. Lucy and Dan remained close over the years -- his last interview with her was in 1986 during Life With Lucy.
