OAD: March 30, 1953 - CBS Television Network
FILMED: Friday, September 26, 1952 - General Service Studios
PREMISE: Lucy has trouble making up her mind: first she doesn't know what she wants to wear to dinner, then she can't decide on a restaurant. Once she and Ricky and the Mertzes get seated in one, she can't decide what she wants for dinner. Everything on the menu sounds so good. Even after she gives the waiter her order (and changes it a few times!), she moves from one table to another... Finally Ricky hits the ceiling and demands Lucy finish whatever she starts.
GUEST CAST: Frank Nelson (waiter); Phil Arnold (Harry Henderson); John L. Hart (Tom Henderson); Sally Corner (woman in fur salon)
The scene in the restaurant, in which Lucy has trouble deciding what to order, happened in real-life with the writers -- when Madelyn Pugh, Bob Carroll, Jr., and Jess Oppenheimer went to lunch one day at the Farmer's Market in Los Angeles. Madelyn kept changing her order -- and the threesome knew immediately they had an idea for a Lucy scene!
