(Episode #9)

OAD: December 24, 1951 - CBS Television Network

FILMED: Friday, November 2, 1951 - General Service Studios

PREMISE: Ricky has been booked to put on a show at Fort Dix, but does not want Lucy to know about it and want to join in. He asks Fred to teach him an old Civil War-themed routine he once used in vaudeville. Lucy and Ethel know something unusual is going on -- and jump to the conclusion that the boys have been drafted.

SPECIAL TAG: The original broadcast of this episode ends with a 4-minute Christmas greeting for viewers: the Ricardos and Mertzes are all dressed as Santa Claus, singing "Jingle Bells" as the move around a decorated Christmas tree. Suddenly there are five Santas -- Lucy, Ricky, Fred, Ethel ... and the real thing. Merry Christmas, everybody!
