I LOVE LUCY: 50th Anniversary Special

From David Hillman:
Being a UK Lucy Fan, I think a great idea for a future special would be to show the impact of I Love Lucy in other countries. For instance, it was the first imported series to be shown in this country (on ITV in 1955), and I always think that if it had been a flop, would we still be getting imported shows (which take up a large part of UK TV).
We all know that America virtually came to a stand still when I Love Lucy was on, but was this also the case in other countries? We know that it was always in the Top 5 American TV charts, but how did the show perform abroad?
Let us hear from you!
We welcome your ideas and opinions.
