I LOVE LUCY: 50th Anniversary Special

The following was posted 11/16/01:

From Marion Van Derveer:

I really enjoyed the 50th anniversary show and agree with everyone else who seems to be saying they missed feedback from surviving cast members. It would've been great to see Keith T. participate in the "Babaloo" number!

I loved the sequence where Desi and Lucie returned to Jamestown, NY. We sometimes don't realize that these characters we loved so much had real lives. I could see Desi connecting with his deceased parents and that perhaps he has found some real peace in his life.

I was extremely surprised (and not a bit disappointed) that "Job Switching" did not get the #1 spot!

My major complaint was... TOO MANY COMMERCIALS!!! If anything two hours was already too short a time, and those darn commercials cut it down to an hour and a half!

Let us hear from you!
