From Ofelia Hurtado:

I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful web site. I am 27 years old, and I have been a Lucy fan for as long as I can remember. I have bought every book and watched every show.

I was wondering: I am going to purchase the I Love Lucy episodes on DVD. It says we will receive a total of 5 discs. Once we receive all five, will be be getting more -- or is that it? The reason I am asking is that I want to purchase all of the episodes. If I am going to be receiving 5, where can I purchase the rest?

Columbia House did not want to commit to putting the entire series on DVDs until it "tested the waters" by producing 5 initial discs (which contain a total of 20 episodes, plus the "little extras"). So far, the "test" has proven to be very successful, and the company has announced plans to produce between 5 and 15 more discs. If consumer interest holds, the company will eventually put all 180 half-hour episodes onto DVD.

Producer/consultant Gregg Oppenheimer has informed us that production on the second set of 5 discs has been delayed, but that they should be available later in the year. Stay tuned for updates!
