I LOVE LUCY: Stick Figures

From Cherie Daughton:

I am probably the last person to notice this, but I recent saw Episode #80, "Ricky Minds the Baby," and noticed something neat: When Ricky is telling Little Ricky the Red Riding Hood story, the camera, on several occasions, shows Little Ricky in his crib. Behind him is a blanket with embroidered Lucy and Ricky stick figures (from the show's opening credits). The figures are inside an embroidered heart. Am I the last person to spot this?

Don't worry about being first or last... but you ARE observant! The insert shots of Little Ricky are on the screen for such a very short time, it is not surprising that you might have missed seeing the stick figures in the background. The blanket featured in the shot was one of many I Love Lucy-endorsed baby products that were issued immediately after Little Ricky's birth in January, 1953, everything from baby clothes to rocking chairs!
