LUCILLE BALL NAMES “COMEDIENNE OF THE YEAR” BY GAGWRITERS




     CBS-TV comedy star Lucille Ball, recipient of numerous awards and honors, has just been chosen “Comedienne of the Year” by the National Association of Gagwriters.  Miss Ball and her husband are stars of “I Love Lucy” (CBS-TV, Mondays, 9:00-9:30PM, EST).

     Each year during the observance of National Laugh Week (April 1-5), the National Association of Gagwriters names a King and Queen of Laughs.  CBS Radio star Red Skelton was named this year’s King.  Kings and Queens of previous years include Jack Benny, Gracie Allen, Marie Wilson.
