Dear Fellow Lucy Fans,
Dann Cahn Joins May "Lucy" Festival
Ric Wyman, Executive Director of the Lucy-Desi Center in Jamestown, NY, has announced that film editor Dann Cahn will be among the special guests at the upcoming "Lucy-Desi Days" celebration, May 28-30. Dann, of course, was the original film editor on I Love Lucy, and virtually ran the Desilu post-production department from 1951-1959.
We celebrated Dann's career during our 2001 Loving Lucy Convention in Burbank, but this will be his first appearance in Jamestown. Dann will participate in an event (hosted by yours truly, representing the We Love Lucy fan club), in which he talks about his career and his long friendship with the Arnaz family.
The May festival will also feature the second-ever I Love Lucy Masquerade Ball. Attendees are encouraged to dress like your favorite Lucy character...
Also on the schedule will be a visit by with a very special lady who was seen in numerous Lucille Ball TV programs -- and made guest appearances in such other classics as The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Twilight Zone, Gunsmoke, My Three Sons, and All in the Family. We cannot give out her name as yet -- Ric wants to announce it first on the Lucy-Desi web site later this week.
