Dear Fellow Lucy Fans,
Jamestown Here We Come...
Just spoke with Mrs. McGillicuddy in Jamestown, New York -- and all is in readiness for this weekend's "Lucy-Desi Days" festival. Among the highlights of the three-day event are special appearances by Jim Bailey and Lucie Arnaz (performing together for the first time in over 3 decades!), Doris Singleton (reminiscing about her days as Carolyn Appleby), Steve Kay (who played Doris' son Stevie in the Superman episode of I Love Lucy), and film editor Dann Cahn (who edited all of the classic Lucys of the 1950s).
Also on the schedule are a look at "I Love Lucy: Behind the Scenes" with author Gregg Oppenheimer, son of series' writer/producer Jess Oppenheimer; and the second annual "I Love Lucy Masquerade Ball," with entertainment by Adrian Israel, recreating the magic of Ricky Ricardo!
For complete information about the festival, visit the Lucy-Desi Museum web site at:
Hope to see you at the festival!
