Dear Fellow Lucyfans:
Remembering Ted Thiel
We were saddened to learn of the death of Herman "Ted" Thiel, Jr., husband of I Love Lucy alumus Marilyn Borden. Thiel passed away December 4, after a short battle with cancer. He was 78.
A native of the San Francisco "Bay Area," Ted and Marilyn had moved to Modesto, CA. in 2002. He had served in the Navy for two years, and worked all of his adult life as a television technician.
Ted is survived by Marilyn, his son Herman Thiel III, several grandchildren, and great-grand children.
More "Untouchables" On the Way
CBS Home Video announced last week that it will be continuing its series of "Untouchables" DVDs... Up next is "Season Two, Part One," a collection of the first 16 episodes from the 1960-61 season. Included will be guest-appearances by such stars as Elizabeth Montgomery, Steven Hill, June Havoc, John McIntire, Jan Sterling, Jack Warden, Rip Torn and Richard Conte.
Elizabeth Montgomery's performance in the season-opener, "The Rusty Heller Story," won her an Emmy nomination, and "put her on the map" as an actress.
The new DVDs are scheduled for release March 18.
Have a great week!
