Still in Love with Lucy

Dear Fellow Lucyfans:

Authentic Lucy Item to be Auctioned!

For years fans have been writing to me, asking if I can verify that an item being sold on e-bay was indeed once owned by Lucille Ball... Sometimes it is hard to say, but not this time...

Desi Arnaz Jr. and his wife Amy are offering an item that was one of Lucy's favorites -- a soup tureen fashioned in the shape of a cow!

Amy tells us that this tureen graced Lucy's china cabinet for years, and was one of the first items they wrapped and took home to Nevada in 1989 when they closed up the house in Beverly Hills...

The Arnazes are parting with the soup tureen to help raise funds for their non-profit children's ballet company in Boulder City, Nevada. "It's virtually impossible to gets grants for tiny ballet companies," says Amy, "and our usual individual donors seem to have their purse strings tied shut by the economy. So maybe the cow will help us... Hope so!"

Lucy's Cow Soup Tureen is being offered on e-bay by Amy's cousin Jeanine in Wisconsin...

Bidding will start on Monday (February 25) and we will provide a direct link to that web page...

Here is a temporary link to Jeanine's current listing...

Unique One-of-a-Kind-Finds

So, here is an excellent opportunity for fans to own an authentic item from Lucy's own home, offered by her son and daughter-in-law... and for a very worthy cause!
