Dear Fellow Lucyfans,
Celebrating the Borden Twins
The family of Marilyn and Roz Borden -- "The Borden Twins" -- have announced a special memorial service will be held in their honor on Saturday, May 30, 2009, at 3:30PM, at the Modesto State Theatre (Modesto, California).
The Bordens, of course, played "Teensy and Weensy" in the famous "Tennessee Bound" episode of I Love Lucy, and were guests each year at our Loving Lucy Conventions here in Los Angeles (1996-2001). Roz Borden passed away in 2003, Marilyn this past March 25.
Friends and fans of the Bordens are invited to attend. The memorial will be followed immediately by an evening of music at the Barking Dog Cafe (940 Eleventh Street in Modesto); music to be provided by the John Wyatt Trio and Ernie Bucio's Little Big Band, including songs that Roz and Marilyn loved t sing. Featured vocalists will include Roz and Marilyn's sister Barbara.
