Dear Fellow Lucy Fans,

Happy #52!

Yes, Happy Anniversary once again to everyone and anyone who had anything to do with the production of "I Love Lucy." The series is officially 52 years old this Wednesday -- October 15, 2003 -- still as popular as ever!

Once More, Here's Lucy!

Work is moving right along on the new "Best of 'Here's Lucy'" DVD package we mentioned a few weeks ago. While the list of episodes has not been finalized, certain to be included is "Lucy Meets the Burtons," the 1970 episode that not only guest- starred Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, but reunited the redhead with writers Bob Carroll Jr. and Madelyn Davis. It ranked as one of the highest-rated programs of the year -- and the highest rated episode of "Here's Lucy" ever.

Also on the list of shows to be included is one of the episodes featuring guest-star Carol Burnett. It's the one in which Lucy and Carol both enter a "Secretary Beautiful" contest. Miss Burnett, in fact, will be one of the people providing special interviews to be featured on the DVDs as "bonus material." Also reminiscing will be Lucie Arnaz and Desi Arnaz Jr.

"The Best of 'Here's Lucy'" will be released during 1st Quarter, 2004.

Give Lucy for Christmas

It's never too early to start thinking about gifts for Christmas... And what better way to "celebrate Lucy" than to include some of the new Lucy merchandise on your shopping list! Last week we mentioned just a few of the new items that are now available at the Lucy-Desi Gift Shop in Jamestown. There are so many, in fact, that the Gift Shop has published a 2003 Holiday Merchandise Guide, chock full of the new calendars, Christmas ornaments, holiday cards, candy, etc. All of these items -- and more! -- are also listed on the Gift Shop's web site, along with weekly sales items. Our Own Web-Site Updates

As part of our updating of our web site, we have recently brought the Lucy Photo of the Week Galleries up to date, and have added a detailed index to our Monday letters. Scheduled to be added in the next few days is a page devoted to the fan club and its members. We need YOUR photos! Go through your snapshots and find one of you posing with your favorite Lucy film poster, doll, etc. We'll add it to the new area. We'd also like to hear your suggestions on how the site can be more useful to you in the future. Many thanks...

Have a great week, everybody!
